petlover Posted September 21, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 21, 2014 We have only been on the Golden Princess where my DH enjoyed lots of evenings playing Texas Hold'em poker with other passengers on their electronic poker table (and won lots of $ too :) ). Does Ocean Princess) also have the electronic poker table ? (not to be confused with poker slot machines). Thanks!

I didn't look for one, but I didn't see one either when we were on the ship earlier this month. The casino is very small, so I don't know where they could place it. Remember, the ship carries roughly 20 percent of the number of passengers on the Golden, so demand over the course of a year would likely be commensurately lower. They probably make more money by keeping as many slot machines going as possible in the limited space.

No. Pacific and Ocean have teeny casinos and there's hardly any room in there for the BJ tables.
Rare azbirdmom Posted September 21, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 21, 2014 No. Pacific and Ocean have teeny casinos and there's hardly any room in there for the BJ tables. Oh that is unfortunate! I've been looking at a cruise on the Pacific and DH would be very disappointed to find no PokerPro table! Guess I should focus on other future cruises on larger ships...:(

Working 2 Cruise Posted September 21, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 21, 2014 There has to be a better reason for cruising on the Pacific other than playing poker. I'd have to agree with Pia! The Pacific has such great itineraries!
Luckiest Dog Posted September 27, 2014 #7 Share Posted September 27, 2014 There has to be a better reason for cruising on the Pacific other than playing poker. You can say that about any activity on a cruise ship you personally do not like. Is bingo, dancing, bars, dining, bridge, reading, culinary demonstrations, shopping, shows, movies, swimming pool a better use of cruise ship time? It sounds like you are being biased to the original poster since you obviously do not use the casino.

I won't hazard a guess at who will have a better time ...
