Arctic Ace Posted September 21, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 21, 2014 We would like to rent a car after arriving back to Miami from cruise but we don't know where should we rent it... We noticed that at least Hetz is offering pick up to rental place. Do you know where the pick up and drop of location is? Is this reliable service + have you used this one? What is your recommendation?
JohninDC Posted September 21, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 21, 2014 Hertz offers free shuttle service to their downtown location, but are regularly overwhelmed by cruise customers. :( Avis & Budget are also downtown, but no shuttles - taxi will run about $12+ National, Alamo & Thrifty offer free shuttle service to their MIA airport location - bring a printed copy of your reservation form to show the driver or you will not get on the shuttle. The ride to MIA takes 15+minutes.

Davey Wavey Posted September 22, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 22, 2014 (edited) All the major rental companies (Avis, Budget, National, Enterprise, Alamo, Dollar/Thrifty, Hertz) do free shuttles TO and FROM the Miami airport to the cruise port if you are renting from them. As JohninDC said, bring your confirmation page, although they have never asked me to see it. Call the other agencies (Fox, Sixt, Firefly, Advantage, etc.) to see if they offer free shuttle. Most do as they are actually owned by the bigger agencies. Edited September 22, 2014 by Davey Wavey
