12kadet Posted September 23, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2014 Hi We are flying to Miami from Copenhagen on the 29th of October and will stay in Miami for 3 days before our cruise with ncl getaway on the 1st of November. I was planning to book a last minute hotel but now I am in doubt. I just found out that Halloween will be in that weekend. Will It still be possible to book a decent last minute hotel or will everything be sold out? Jesper
aurelius180 Posted September 23, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2014 Depending on where you want to stay in Miami there still appears to be a number of hotels available at fairly reasonable prices. Halloween is not a huge travel holiday in the States.
shelby101 Posted September 24, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 24, 2014 Try the Hampton Inn Brickell Downtown. It is close to the metro mover which is free (I think) so you can have a way to get around town.
BlueHerons Posted September 26, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 26, 2014 (edited) I would stay out on Miami Beach and in particular South Beach. Lots of fun for Halloween. I would go ahead and make a reservation because that is the very beginning of peak season for us. Another thing is that it is the weekend of the Fort Lauderdale Int'l Boat Show which is the largest boat show in the world. It features the largest in water showing of Mega Yachts (over 150 feet) in the world. Try and make it up to Fort Lauderdale for the day! I think the recommendation was to stay out of South Beach. It can get pretty loud on Halloween which is why you would be better to avoid it. Look downtown. Hampton Inn Intercontinental Marriott Marquis Marriott Hyatt There are others but this would give you a good start. Hampton Inn also includes a nice breakfast.
