Older Ship Fitted With New Light Systems?

Have any of the older Princess ships when they were in dry dock for major upgrades and renovations had their lighting system in the cabins modernized like the Regal and Royal?

Agreed. This would be a huge and expensive change to the cabins and if they did it, Princess would have been trumpeting the news from the mountain tops.

The only new lighting I've seen is in remodeled Horizon Courts but not in the cabins.

Think that they a referring to the Key Card System for Cabin lights.

You're certainly not going to get things like the Regal and Royal, it'd be too expensive to retrofit something like that.

 

That said, I did notice on my Caribbean Princess cruise in August that the desk lamps had been replaced since the cruise I did on the same ship in December. Nothing to write home about. (I think the bulbs might have been a slightly different color temperature too, but I think they were still florescent, and hadn't been replaced with led.)
