Cruzin & Boozin Posted September 23, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2014 Hello, We are traveling on the Dream on February 16. My son has always enjoyed the kids activities but he will be 18 years old on the next cruise and is kind of bummed out that there is no formal program for kids his age. Does anyone know if Carnival has any activities for kids 18 and older?
margoann99 Posted September 24, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 24, 2014 The short answer is no. There were some "singles meet and greet" but my niece (19 and college freshman) did not go because she thought it would be more twenties/thirties. OCruisers Posted September 24, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 24, 2014 Sadly, it's a "black hole" for that age group. :( LuLu
avandrie Posted September 24, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 24, 2014 Seems like when I was that age (not toooo long ago), I would have been skeptical or too cool for any formal meet and greets. Chances are I would have been in the dance club (hoping to find/flirt with someone my age) until the wee hours of the morning, sleep half the day, and roam around the ship ...maybe sometimes hanging with my folks. Wow - that sounds pretty self absorbed. Karma sure does have a wicked sense of humor - I have a 13yo now who is growing too cool for her Mom and Dad. 😯 Any chance of bringing a friend? I had the best times when I was traveling with my friends at that age. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
hannahouse Posted September 24, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 24, 2014 They CAN go to the casino at 18. My son wants to try his hand at blackjack on our upcoming cruise . I agree with the idea of bringing a friend at that age.

SadieN Posted September 24, 2014 #7 Share Posted September 24, 2014 If he's 18 and still in HS many if the counselors will let them attend Club 02. He needs to bring his HS ID.
