Loved the Yatch Club

Where to start?

*

We got a taxi to the port at about 11.30am. *Got dropped off just outside the YC Tent and was escorted to the check in room that is reserved for YC guests. *After having all the paperwork confirmed and glass of orange juice, we were escorted onto the ship and introduced to our butler all within 20 minutes of so.

Our butler showed us around the YC area. The Top Sail Lounge, the One Pool Bar and the Reception Area and then finally to our room 15029. *We were lucky to have one or the squarer cabins which was great. *We meet quite a few other people and had a look in their cabins, not only are the cabins bigger the wardrobe is a bit bigger too.

We loved loved loved the YC and as most of you that have cruised there have said, I don't think I could go back to cruising anywhere else on the ship

We were escorted the first night to the LaMuse restaurant by our butler as we were not too sure where it was - yes it's on the opposite site from the YC and I've heard some people complain about this, but we liked the walk along deck 15 or along deck 7. *Our waiter Gabrielle was fabulous and anticipated our needs within 2 days. *The Head Waiter Giuseppe wasn't that great, some days he was all over you and others he never even spoke.

*

We loved the quietness of the YC in both the Top Sail Lounge and the One Pool. *Everyone and I mean everyone in these areas couldn't do enough for you. *Even the Pool Guy was so nice. They brought you drinks without asking, cleared up after you, knew your drink order after only a short time, kept your room spotless and wouldn't even let you carry a cup of tea back to your room.

*

There are only 2 suggestions I could make. *More permanent shade up in the One Pool area and some decent music in the Top Sail Lounge. *The piped music was truly dreadful, we asked if it could be changed and unfortunately were told that they were unable to do this.

We stopped at some fabulous places and did lots of excursions, some privately and some through the ship. *We even rented a cabana when we make an unexpected stop at Grand Turk for only $120. *Which I thought was excellent value.

I can't thank the staff enough on the YC for making this a holiday to remember. *I'm not great at writing reviews, but CC really helped me when I was planning my holiday and I thought I'd give a wee bit back. *So, if anyone would like any help I'll do my best to answer any questions you may have.

I'm glad you enjoyed the Yacht Club JPR61!!! We looooove it, and it is very difficult to stay anywhere else on the ship once you've sailed there.

We had Gabrielli a few nights as our waiter. We loved him!!! Always smiling,,,always happy!!! Guiseppe runs a little hot and cold at times. He really missed his family back home and was leaving the ship for 3 months to go back home to see them 2 weeks after we had disembarked at the end of August. :D

Hi Jean

Glad you made it back home safe ,I was gonna mess with you on this post ,but I can't bring myself to do that ,it wouldn't be fair to others on CC

We was on this sailing with Jean & her Husband David ,and spent the whole week in there company ,like Jean said ,the YC was amazing ,I have sailed over 27 times on RCL ,mainly in JR.suites or higher ,but I have to say the YC knocks the ball out of the ball park over RCL for suite guests

From day 1 ,we was treated 1st class ,from the butlers to the dinning room staff

Even the pool guys on deck ,every 1 was there with a smile ,a helping hand on what ever you needed ,

Afternoon tea was my wife's daily highlight ,until Jean nicked all the cream & Jam lol ,we even got Adi the bar server in the lounge to call out skinny bitches every time we walked into the lounge ,we did have to explain to other guests in the lounge that a SB is Vodka & diet coke lol

this being our 1st time on MSC ,we could not fault the ship or the service we received on board ,we have even booked the TA for next Oct 2015 with 8 other friends who normally sail RCL ,

Like Jean said ,there was a few things that could be arranged on the pool deck ,more shady areas ,better TV channels in the rooms ,but other than that we look forward to sailing again on MSC in the Carribean or in the Med

The YC Is the only way to go from now on for us

Thank you for a fun week Jean & David ,hope to sail again with you in the future

I will be in touch with you soon ,I'll send over the pictures

JPR61, thanks for your review. We, too, love the YC. Always a quite place to retreat after excursions, shows, shopping, etc. We had Gabrielle back in March and happy to hear he is still there. Looking forward to seeing him again in Nov. And we will be in cabin 15029!! Was in 15031 last time. Glad you had a great cruise/holiday.

Thanks Mike we did have a ball. Guseppe did run hot and cold, he was going home the same day we left. This did not in anyway effect our enjoyment .

Thanks had such a great time. Gabrielle will still be there he was on the divina until January I think. Cabin 15029 was fab, I looked after it for you as promised. Carlos will be your butler I'm sure. He was relatively new and a bit quite but great nonetheless

Welcome to the MSC Yacht Club fan club :) it's a wonderful way of cruising and great value for money. If you want a similar experience you need to sail one of the luxury lines out there. But they don't have a mega ship to explore downstairs :) we just did a amazing B2B cruise in YC in the Caribbean :) glad that you had a great cruise.

Thanks for the review we are in the YC in 9 days time for the b2b can't wait did you find 15029 a quiet room we are in 15031 for our cruise the rest of our party are on the opposite side of the ship.

Judith

Hi there, yes it was a really quiet room. To be fair the YC is really quiet. I think only the rooms next to the lifts would be a wee bit less quiet, and that would only be the 'ping' from the lifts.

Hi Judith,

I was in 15031 last month and it was perfect and ROOMY!. No noise, even from the Star Trek door just outside :p The YC was pretty quiet in general....very relaxing. I know you'll have a great trip!
