CruizinMama1026 Posted September 24, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2014 I was thinking of getting a carnival eGift card through my Verion Smart Rewards since it's 10% off. I've never used one before however. How do you apply these gift cards to your sail and sign card. Also, if we have money left over at the end of the cruise do we get this money back. I know the cruise ship dollars are forfeited but I wasn't sure about the eGift cards? Thank you! :)
snc_cam Posted September 24, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 24, 2014 When you use the gift card to pay for the cruise online, there is a place you can enter the id of the card, pretty much like a credit card. Not sure what cruise ship dollars you are referring to. There are numerous threads about getting the additional cash off a S&S card while on the cruise. I just did it using the kiosk in front of the guest services on a cruise a few weeks ago. Left just under the cost of the tips and took the rest in cash. CruizinMama1026 Posted September 24, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted September 24, 2014 Sorry I meant Cruise Cash. That's good to know though about the kiosk. We already paid off the cruise so would like to use it on our Sail and Sign. I was wondering if you can do this ahead of time as it's an eGift card? And if there are any funds left over at the end of the cruise do you get a check of a new gift card with the balance? Thank you

Thank you You have to go to guest services on the ship to apply it to you S&S account. Not sure about the second part, but someone mentioned that if you notice you will have a credit balance you can cash out in the casino. :)

lazyart Posted September 24, 2014 #7 Share Posted September 24, 2014 You could use it to buy Cruise Cash, but Cruise Cash is nonrefundable... so don't overdo it.
C&THollings Posted September 24, 2014 #8 Share Posted September 24, 2014 One of my cruse buddies has just recently bought them to pay her cruise off. She save $600 off their 2 room for our Hawaii cruise. The 10% saving off your cruise is AWESOME. I plan to by some to pay for my tips and a bit of spending $$ LOVE a Bargain!!! kona_wahine Posted September 24, 2014 #9 Share Posted September 24, 2014 (edited) I bought enough with the Father's Day promotion to pat off our cruise with a little extra for OBC. I also bought a $100 thru Verizon. At 10% off its such a great deal. Some people say they don't want carnival holding their money but there is no way with 10% I'd make more with interest.
