OK to bring wine onboard from ports?

Hi all....I know that we are allowed to bring wine on board at the beginning of the cruise, but is it true that we cannot bring wine on board to enjoy in our cabins from one of the ports? I called Princess yesterday, and that's what they told me. It doesn't make sense!

 

Any input? Any one done this?

I have purchased wine in numerous ports to bring on board with no problems. Liquor is a no no, will be taken and given to you when you disembark.

you can definitely bring wine onboard at ports on princess ships...i do this every cruise because i usually run out :)

Well, thank you for replies. I won't worry anymore. That just made NO SENSE to me when I was told we could not bring wine on board from the ports. I knew that all I had to do was ask those of you who have cruised Princess before....

Just got back from the grand a couple of weeks ago & bought greek wine in all of our ports & never once were we told we could not bring it on board. We had our own sail aways on our balcony.
