psychmom Posted September 29, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 29, 2014 I think we'll be booking our first cruise soon and I was wondering about the port days. Must we pay for an excursion if all we want to do is hang out on the beach? Can we get taxis or even just walk to the beach from the pier?
Centex Posted September 29, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 29, 2014 In many ports, you can take taxis or buses. Some beaches will charge a fee and some may not. If you go to this link, you can get specific info about each of the ports you will visit: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=

However, I'm not sure there are beaches within walking distance. I would check the Ports of Call secrion: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
