fascination 5/10 Posted April 28, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 28, 2004 Ok... 4 times in pre-cruise tanning and though I haven't burned, my skin is dry and itchy. I have tons of moisturizers (Nivea, Body Shop, Bath and Body Works), but I still feel like tight leather. I'm about to take a bath in olive oil! Any suggestions? Deltala Posted April 29, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2004 First of all, always be sure to use lotions made for tanning beds. I didn't realize what a difference it made until I started using it. I have a huge collection of lotions, but my absolute favorite is "Deep Comfort" body lotion by Clinique. It provides a lot of relief for dry skin and enhances your tan. I no longer use it every day, but I do use a lotion daily.
JanetMarie Posted April 29, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 29, 2004 For me who has extra dry skin, I use "Camille Backman" glycerine therapy lotion. It comes in different scents and works wonders, especially during the winter here in CT. OUR NEXT ONWARD JOURNEY!
lka1012 Posted April 29, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 29, 2004 I use one my BeautiControl. It is made especially for dry skin, is not oily and is unscented. Kathy Last Cruise -- Maasdam - E. nosnobunny Posted April 29, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 29, 2004 Here is something my dermatologist told me for dry skin. First use white, unscented Dove instead of soap. Then after you're all clean and rinsed off with the shower still running, rub baby oil all over (except your face). Towel off as usual. You'll really notice a difference in a week or so.
