lovethecaribbean31 Posted August 17, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted August 17, 2005 Thanks so much--I found the answer on that site--we'll have about 14 hours of daylight.
Budget Queen Posted August 18, 2005 #6 Share Posted August 18, 2005 There is a big difference in the amount of daylight depending on where you are in Alaska. On the inside passage, way less than interior Alaska.
SourDoughSteve Posted August 18, 2005 #7 Share Posted August 18, 2005 Thanks for the great site, Steve! My pleasure...it's cool you can get the drop down box and get detailed information about multiple locations throughout the state as the place is so large and the daily conditions can change so much...:)
Rare tetleytea Posted August 18, 2005 #8 Share Posted August 18, 2005 What's kind of deceiving is that they assign an exact minute when twilight occurs. I know, they have their precise astronomical definitions, but in Alaska it's really more a range of time, since it takes so long for the sun to make up its mind whether it's going to go down or not. Rare tetleytea Posted August 18, 2005 #9 Share Posted August 18, 2005 I guess in Alaska it's a female sun. :D arf arf
