Does anyone know how soon they have you disembark once you make port on the last day?Our flight does not leave until 3:30pm,we want to stay on the ship as long as we can.

You have to be out of your cabin by 8AM and off the ship between 9AM and 9:30AM.

Our flight leaves at 2:30 and I'm considering getting a day room at the Hyatt right there at the airport. That is, if some other option doesn't pop up before that. We have a shuttle picking us up between 9 and 9:30 so there's an hour ride back to MCO, so that's 10:30 at the earliest, which brings us to 3.5 hours before we have to board the plane, so now that I think about it, it's kind of silly to do that... but it might be an option for you! :)

MCO is a great airport to be stuck in. Lots of good shopping and restaurants. It's all outside of security. I've be stuck there plenty of times for 4+ hours and entertained myself fine. But with really little ones it could be exhausting! Especially after waking up at the crack of dawn to get off the ship. If you need naps or just to relax before a long flight home with kids, then yes! get a room at the Hyatt there. I will never forget flying home to Utah after our first cruise with our daughter. We were so tired from waking up so early. She was a toddler, and wouldn't sleep anywhere but a crib. She didn't nap the whole way home, I was a wreck by the time we got back home. I could have used the hotel room prior to the flight!

We have taken a taxi to Downtown Disney after disembarking and having a later flight on a couple occasions.

While this is a good option, generally, for those who have more time than they wish to just sit at the airport, right now it's not.

There's currently massive construction going on in DTD, with parking being further away than normal and limited pedestrian access in the area.

Completion isn't until 2016, so this will be going on for a while yet.
