jdyer09 Posted October 9, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2014 Good morning! We are officially 30 days away from sailing and 28 from leaving home! I was looking at the bon voyage dept gifts this evening and see that they no longer offer the drink tickets/coupons but "cruise cash bar". We aren't drinkers so we may buy three or four the while cruise, but it says that these can be used for the purchase of sodas, waters, etc. Could you or has anyone bought these as a way of pre paying the bottomless bubbles package that we will each purchase? Has anyone done this? Thanks guys!
Carnival_Brides Posted October 9, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2014 We used regular cruise cash to pay for BB last year, but we have never tried the bar cash. You might consider going that route, so you're not stuck using it exclusively for bar items--regular Cruise Cash can be used for tips, excursions, shops, photos, etc.
psikic Posted October 9, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 9, 2014 Yes, I agree, I see no reason to ever buy the bar cash. I personally would also never buy the cruise cash. If I wanted to save for the trip I would just put cash back in an envelope and apply it to my account when I get onboard. Bar cash: Use it or lose it, can only be spent on drinks, water, or soda. Cruse cash: Use it or lose it, can be spent on anything on board. Physical cash: Use it or don't, you can spend it on anything you want or you can choose not to spend it and put it back in your pocket. If you load cash onto your sail and sign account, and you don't use it all, you get it back at the end of the cruise.
