  1. This! We just got off the Glory 2 weeks ago and you HAD to slam the balcony door to get it to seal. Sometimes many times.
  2. You also don't have to spend it. You can go to the casino, pull the OBC balance down to a slot machine, spin a couple of times, then cash out.
  3. Thanks for doing this review! I am enjoying it so far. We will be on the Glory in a few weeks. I'm just curious... obviously you gave a generous tip to get this extra great parking. May I ask what kind of tip might achieve the same treatment for my family? My mother is disabled and being by that elevator would sure be helpful.
  4. By the way, you could still be charged for texts you receive, whether or not you open them.
  5. About 15 minutes ago it said it would be back up by 7:00am Eastern, but apparently they are having more issues than they thought, so just removed the deadline.
  6. They can also scan your boarding pass, as you might not have your S&S card yet if it is not 1:30.
  7. Does anyone know if the bubbles package covers the Cuban canned sodas at the Havana bar?
  8. Several years ago we booked the Steakhouse on the first night of a 7 day as well as the last. The service was just as good in both instances, and the only thing that was different was the crab cakes the first night were nice and fresh and the last night tasted a little bit old and fishy. I guess that is to be expected.
  9. I'm looking for excursions to take my older parents on, which will not require a huge physical exertion, as they cannot walk long distances. We are interested in the "Mayan Gourmet Experience" excursion through Carnival. The reviews say there is about a 10 minute walk to the restaurant. From what I can tell based on the pictures, even though it is not said explicitly, we would have to walk from the Carnival dock to the restaurant "Ix Kool". Has anyone else done this excursion and maybe have a YouTube video showing it? If this ends up being too far for them to walk, is there anything they might be able to do in Cozumel instead? Excursion: https://www.carnival.com/shore-excursions/cozumel/mayan-gourmet-experience-304347 Thanks!
  10. I'm wondering the same. I have a cruise in September and I have waited to fill it out because the current form says: "The benefit is applicable on sailings through July 31, 2023"
  11. I want to bring my mother and stepfather with us on a future cruise sometime next year. My stepfather doesn't have a passport, and if I get a copy of his birth certificate, it will have a different name on it than he uses now on all of his identification like his driver's license. He changed his name sometime back in the 70's while in the military. He has no documentation of the name change and isn't even sure of the county that recorded the name change, so we can't get the official documentation. What can we do? Can he still get a passport? Could he board with just his birth certificate, even though the name is incorrect? What is the best course of action here? We plan on sailing on Carnival.
  12. They don't print them anymore until you buy them -- at least on the ships that now have the Pixel gallery. (Isn't that most of them?)
  13. Just don't forget the extra Family Harbor benefits -- the Family Harbor lounge with breakfast and snacks, a specialty coffee machine, video and board games, etc. Also children in Family Harbor get free specialty dining (steakhouse, cucina del capitano, etc.) I also think that booking the Suite you will get priority boarding, compared to no extra priority for the balcony rooms.
  14. 12-packs of bottled water doubled in price to $9.95
  15. I just logged in to check my booking for my Vista cruise on November 12, and discovered that some of the fun shops prices have changed today. I purchased a couple of 12 packs of water a couple of months ago and paid $4.95 plus tax each. I noticed this morning they are now $9.95. Has anyone noticed any other price changes?
  16. I've read where others have been successful submitting it again after being denied. What can they do other than say no?
  17. By the way for both of you on the 11/12 sailing, here is the roll call!
  18. Its the lever on the back of the dispenser, touching the lip of the cup they drink out of that then touches the lip of the cup you drink out of. Also, when liquid comes out of the dispenser into a dirty cup it splashes droplets out of their cup onto the dispenser which then mixes with what comes out of the dispenser next time and goes into your cup. Its the same reason why you have to get a new plate at the buffet each time.
  19. For us, we submitted about a month ago and it took about 3 weeks before we received notification. Our sailing is in November. After I got the email I checked and could see the $100 in the booking information online.
  20. An email was just sent out this morning (9/9) saying WiFi package prices will be going up on October 1, and pre-ordering Wifi now will save 31% as opposed to booking onboard (this used to be 15%). That means you should expect about a 16% increase in the WiFi on-board package prices if that math works right.
  21. Yes, in the email they sent 9/9: Additionally, we are happy to share that beginning October 1, we are resuming our popular Dr. Seuss Green Eggs & Ham Breakfast, a family favorite event where you can enjoy a fantastical feast with The Cat in the Hat and Friends™.
  22. My favorite used to be the BBC (Banana Bailey's Coconut) in the comedy club. Last time I cruised (been 6 years) I couldn't find anywhere they had it.
  23. I sure hope they have it back for our twin 4 year olds' first cruise, the Vista on November 12!
  24. The connection problems aren't based on where you are onboard (your device's connection to Wifi) but based on where the ship is in the ocean (the ship's satellite connection). If there is anything that MUST be done, and the internet connection isn't working, you might find good Wifi at one of the ports during the cruise.
  25. We would usually go in the late evening, around 10:00 PM. It was fun to watch for about half an our or more as the drunk people playing the machine can get very "entertaining". Eventually they do give up or run out of money, and that is when you sit down and start playing. For every $100 or so we won we typically would spend $20-30 to get it, so no it is not a big money maker, but to get half an hour of entertainment for $30 even if you don't win is worth it in my book.
