JohninDC Posted October 9, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2014 Nope - the US Dollar is accepted. Small bills (5's and singles) will help - they never seem to have change.

wdowns9 Posted October 18, 2014 #7 Share Posted October 18, 2014 I will try ! Should I start at about 1/2 of the asking ? USD, small bills 1's/5's make sure that you bargain and shop around. They will send kids out to try to sell you stuff or bring you to their area. Remember the real reason you are there is not to shop. I broke away from our tour group so I could see the majority of the site especially the observatory and some of the remote areas that the other did not get to see. I didn't see anything worth giving up valuable touring time. Make sure you bring snacks, sunscreen, hat and plenty of water.
