cruiseryder Posted October 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2014 We disembark on the morning of 13 Dec and our flight doesn't depart until 1530hrs. We thought of dropping our bags at the airport and going to a beach where we could also get lunch. We have visited the island on a number of occasions whilst on a cruise (and have done most of the tours) but never disembarked. Any suggestions to fill in the time would help. Booking a private tour guide or renting a taxi out for the time between leaving the ship and being dropped at the airport is what I would suggest looking into. We have dropped our bags off 3 hours before our flight and went over to Maho beach for 1 1/2 hrs in the the past.
cruiseryder Posted October 12, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted October 12, 2014 Thanks for the suggestion Karysa. Do you know if there are any left luggage facilities at the airport?
Karysa Posted October 12, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 12, 2014 Thanks for the suggestion Karysa.Do you know if there are any left luggage facilities at the airport? Sorry I have never heard of a left luggage place at the airport. I recall hearing something about this at the ferry terminal in Marigot though. You might want to look into that. navybankerteacher Posted October 12, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 12, 2014 Possibly go to Holland House on beach in Phillipsburg - the concierge might hold your bags while you take in the beach or shop - then enjoy a good lunch before heading to,the airport. Because you probably want to get to the airport not much after 13:30, depending on when you actually get off off the ship, you might not have that much time to kill.
