beshears Posted October 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2014 OK, I understand that I can no longer walk into Atlantis and just look around like years ago. We don't want to go to the casino or shops, so do we have to do a "tour" or what to be able to just WALK inside Atlantis, and look around, or would a tour just take you so you could see the "outside" of Atlantis? bptex Posted October 13, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2014 You can walk into the hotel and wander the lobby and casino area but you are supposed to have a day pass to visit the aquariums and beaches. We did the $69 beach and aquarium tour which is self guided and it was great. It took a good 4-5 hours to see everything and then we spent an hour or so sitting on a beach, rented a jet ski and had lunch.

You can no longer walk into the lobby without security asking you to leave. Unless you are buying a pass (which you can now do outside), or going to the casino, you won't get past the guards. Fourseventeen Posted October 14, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 14, 2014 yup its a no go without having a day pass $69-$125 depending on the type of pass you purchase.
beshears Posted October 14, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted October 14, 2014 OK, thanks everyone for your input on Atlantis. I had seen it many years ago, and was very "impressed." Now that you have to buy a pass to even walk in, it is not worth it to me. My friend has never been to the Bahamas, but I think we will go "look" elsewhere. :)
