Mobile phone shops in Gibraltar

Hi my husband needs a new mobile on Vodafone is it worth buying or while i be able to buy a new mobile in Gibraltar vat free but we are visiting on sunday, and the best place if there is one.

Just arrived back form a cruise today and visited Gibraltar on Saturday and think the only real bargains to be had are cigarettes and alcohol. Dont believe all the signs in the windows saying "Welcome ..........." 50% off jewelery prices and dont think electronic items were much cheaper if at all and you would have to worry about if something went wrong if the warranty would cover it. We have visited on a Sunday and most shops except the tourist and alcohol/fag shops were closed.

We were on Emerald Princess and had nearly a full day there unfortunately P&O only seem to want to stop there for 3-4hrs.
