Breakfast in MDR and appropriate dress

I appreciate everyone's input; however I have to say this got a little off topic. I only wanted to know if it would be allowed to wear a baseball hat in the MDR at breakfast, not whether anyone thought it was acceptable or not. If it is allowed, then sorry people, at that point it is my business. Thanks for your responses.

No, it specifically states no hats. It's not a suggestion. It's a restriction.

When we are in port, we put on swim suits and the wife wears a cover up and we go to breakfast in the mdr before going ashore. We always bring a beach bag and our towels. No one has ever given us a second look and we have not ever given it a second thought.
