cruisePAC Posted January 3, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 3, 2015 We were on a 12-day cruise last July and the first port of call was Cannes, France. This was a port-intensive cruise and the next few days we'd be in Cinque Terre, Rome, and Naples. Therefore, we planned a less-intensive day in Cannes. This is what we (a group of 4 adults in our 30s) did: We took the tender boat to the port and walked to a large outdoor market, Marche Froville. We walked up Rue du Suquet and stopped for a coffee at a café on the way up. There are great views of the bay from here. Afterwards, we walked around town, stopping at a bakery and a restaurant for crepes. We then walked back to the port (the port waiting area has A/C and free wifi!). We spent the rest of the day by the ship pool. Other ideas that were on our agenda: go to the beach. Walk along the shore and look at the yachts (we did a little of this while walking to/from the port). For some other ideas, search the forum and look on Trip Advisor. This is a neat little town that has a lot of hustle and bustle. Have a great time there!
