I've heard that St. Thomas is a great place to shop. Is there good shopping close to the pier? If not, what's the best place to shop? Are the beaches worth the trip? Any great excursions that inlcude nice shopping and beaches?

Kon-Tiki party cruise. It's cheap (about $35), you go to another island on a big raft (basically, it's a pontoon boat), you get to lay on a beach, drink all the rum punch (or fruit punch) you want, they have a steel band, and it's a blast.

We're going to St. Thomas again in January 06 (on the Radiance this time), we might do it again.

Look into Godfrey Tours. We took this tour last year. He picks you up at the ship and takes you into town for either 1, 2 or 3 hours of shopping (your choice). He then takes you on a 2 hour sightseeing tour of the island and then drops you off at a beach of your choice for 2 hours. If you want to skip the beach and do more shopping or just go back to the ship he will do that. He then picks you up at the beach and takes you back to the ship. All that for $25. This excursion has it all . If you go on the St. Thomas site I'm sure you can get more information. .
