Hello all, returned from our Conquest cruise last night. I am willing to share the photos with everyone and I also have the Fun Times, which I can upload.

Pre-cruise we stayed at the Intercontinental downtown, very convenient location and close to the port. We visited Bayside Market, and also went to a restaurant called "The Filling Station".

We did the Western itinerary so our ports were Cozumel, Belize, Roatan and Costa Maya.

In Cozumel we went to Paradise Beach and stayed for about an hour and a half before it started to rain.

Belize - we did ziplining and cavetubing through .bz (vitalino). Wonderful and professional folks here.

Roatan - We stayed right at Mahogany Bay Beach.

Costa Maya - we rented golf carts and saw much of the area, until it started pouring on us. After we returned the carts, we had quite a walk down the pier to the ship.

Had a great time with friends. Please be patient with me as I get the photos uploaded and sorted. In the mean time, if you have any questions please ask.

Brenda

No pressure, right? I hope to get them uploaded before then for you. Are you doing the Western itinerary also?

I am new to this forum but am looking for photos and video that would have been taken on the Carnival Conquest from the 11th to the 19th of October. My friend lost her camera and all of her photos. I feel so bad for her and would like to find some photos that might have been taken on their excursion. We were there as well and have some photos but weren't with her on the Zip line and cave tubing. We missed getting the video from the ship as well. Just forgot. They said it is no longer available. Thank you for any help you might have. Thank you! :)

I am going on Conquest in 12 days, would love to see the fun times, although I am doing Eastern Caribbean.

Glad you had a nice time with friends. I am going solo, hoping to have pleasant and safe trip.

Have a wonderful time! I also hope you have a pleasant and safe trip!

I am sorry that your friend lost her camera...that would be a real bummer! I was on the Conquest from the 19th to the 26th, and have some photos of the ship. I also have lots of photos from the cavetubing and zipline with Vitalino Reyes, although the photos are of us  I hope that I can help with some photos that you might need. Stay tuned.:)

Thank you in advance for sharing your review. Can you describe your hotel a little more? Is it close to a Publix (or some other) grocery store?

Our hotel was just across the bridge from the port...the Intercontinental. Although we didn't go to a Publix, I have read on one of the forums there there is a Publix within walking distance of the hotel. I know that there were two CVS's and Walgreens...I went to all of those. There is a multitude of shopping places within walking distance. Very convenient, being downtown. I will be posting many pictures of the hotel and bayfront areas soon, hopefully tonight!

Working on getting those photos uploaded now. Guess what, I had the USB / Camera all ready to go, finally after a couple of minor issues....and then the battery in the camera went dead  So I've had it charging now for about an hour and will get it going again. Thanks for your patience.

First I will start with: Intercontinental hotel.

As a preview, our port activities:

Cozumel - Paradise Beach

Belize - Cavetube/zipline with Vitalino Reyes! I'm still alive :D

Roatan - Day at Mahogany Bay Beach, some browsing through shops

Costa Maya - Golf cart adventure!

Be back soon!

OK, I lied. I'm not starting with Intercontinental. I'm starting with the trip at the very beginning. We picked up our friends who live about halfway to Pittsburgh. We live in Northeast Ohio, so Pittsburgh is just under a 2 hour drive for us. We get great deals going out of there, and our friends live on the way, so it works out for us.

Here we are at the Pittsburgh airport, waiting to board our flight, and of course DH has his usual BROWNS apparel

Can't wait to get out of here and get to Miami!

Ahhh, now that's better. We are in Miami and it is nice and sunny and warm. Even though we had carry-ons, they wanted us to check our bags because it was a small plane and a full load. I couldn't believe they flew such a small plane non-stop to Miami. I'm not sure on the exact size of the plane, but I think it had 1 seat on 1 side and 2 on the other side of the aisle. So here we were waiting to retrieve our luggage.

How awesome that you could use an outdoor place like this all year round! Being from Ohio, I wouldn't know of any such place like this.

We were all 4 very hungry after this. I don't know why; we ate at around 6 am or so; we just sat in an airplane. But it was around 12 and we were so hungry that we found a Friday's in the airport and ate there. Yep, a FRIDAYS!

Afterwards, we found a taxi who would take us to the Intercontinental in downtown Miami. The fare was around 25-26ish (for all 4).

When we arrived at the IC, the lobby was quite impressive.

BTW, I made my reservations through lastminutetravel. I joined the club for no charge and found that I probably saved around 20-25 bucks over the other sites. So we ended up paying around 143 for the night. Yes, its an off-season price.

I'm very sorry for the blur, and I hope you can make it out, but this is the Toro Toro bar / restaurant area. We did not eat or drink there.

The check-in desk. The woman shown working at the desk is the one who assisted me with check in. Very friendly and told us everything we would need to know.

We were assigned a room with 2 beds on the 22nd floor. It was not a bay view, but a city view. It didn't really matter to me.

I may have been a little nitpicky, but took some areas of the room that I felt were substandard. You can't really tell in this picture, but the chair at the desk in the room was a little dirty.

Some slight stain on bedside

Otherwise, the room was nice. Very nice sized, wonderful large window and huge bathroom. Beds were comfortable.
