San Juan Hotel Choices to be made

I will be cruising with my 2 girls in March/April for spring break (ages 12 and 9) and will be going in to SJU Thursday to do some pre-cruise site seeing. I really want to be on the beach and with that in mind, i booked 2 hotels - the Marriott Stellaris Casino and the Hilton Condado Plaza. Both i can cancel up until March. The trip advisor opinion was a lot lower on the Hilton than the Marriott. Will be taking them to Old San Juan to tour, but really want to be somewhere convenient with pool/beach and restaurants for dinner. Should i keep these hotels or cancel and book somewhere else?

We have a night booked at the CasaBlanca Hotel in Old San Juan when we get back from the cruise and it has gotten great reviews.. we were able to book it for one night on hotels.com

Their FAQS on their website say they are 5 minutes from a beach
