CASINO PLAYERS CLUB--- no more verbal ?

This email was on the reply he sent me...not sure if it is good anymore

mbayona@carnival.com

Just got off the phone with a Carnival Rep after dialing 1-888-672-2582 which is the # I have always dialed to speak with Michael or someone in the Casino Dept only to be told that they are no longer speaking with us verbally :(

I was told to either leave a voice mail (which she did transfer me to) or send an email to casino@carnival.com and its a 3 day turnaround...

Has anyone spoken to Michael or anyone else directly in the Casino Dept very very recently, and if so, what # did you dial ?

The reason I want to verbally speak to someone is that I did email them about 4 weeks ago, never got a response and we're leaving next Thursday...

Thanks

Even though I am a Gator I will answer your question (Just Kidding)

Usually when I contact the players club I am seeing if I qualify for any casino cash or a drinks on us card.

This worked out like a charm for us on our last cruise. My wife received $100.00 in cash and we both were given the drinks on us card the first night of the cruise. We also received a comped steakhouse dinner on the night of our choosing.

I suggest being pleasant and make sure any casino host knows how much you appreciate whatever they can do for you.

Having said that CHOMP. Of course my boys aren't looking all that good this year.

Hello,

Any advice will be much appreciated. I just got a killer deal on a casino rate, what is the email/number to contact to see about any other deals...such as drink on us or steak dinner.

Thanks!! Happy cruising.

I got an awesome deal at the casino rate. My understanding is there will be no additional incentives extended because we booked the casino rate according to the email response from the player's club.

I'm curious, what exactly are you asking for when you email/leave voice mail?? I am really just curious as I am a casino player too.

I ask if I'm getting casino cash or other perks. Last cruise I gambled a lot more than I usually do so for my upcoming cruise they'll be sending me a platter. I rather have the casino cash but I guess I'll be thankful no matter what.

I called 2 months ago and the Carnival rep said they were disabling all incoming calls to the players club because they were totally swamped with people just calling to ask about perks for upcoming cruises and had no time for anything else. I called for something different last Friday and received the same response. She advised that I leave email at casino@carnival.com. Michael answered back the same day.

I emailed last week with no response also. They promised a premium bon voyage basket on my last cruise, but I did not receive it. I asked at the casino desk and they said they had nothing for down for me. :(

How did they promise? Take your written confirmation with you and they will probably make it right on the ship.

I did take my written email on the ship and they told me they had no record on it and did nothing. Maybe my luck will change this time. ;)

  • 2 weeks later...

I have no comment on my tigers, but will brag up on my Ragin Cajuns! I received something in my cabin 2 nights out of the five and one night received a bottle of wine at dinner, all from the casino. I will definitely send an email as my cruise date gets closer.

I'm sure they are having lots of low level players asking for things that they don't qualify for. If you are a big enough player they will take care of you. They will seek you out in the casino.

I had an email from Michael on my last cruise promising me money at the cage. The casino host onboard asked to see it, then went and called Michael to confirm. I got my money. The host also sent things to my cabin daily. On the last day I was offered $1000 cash to sail with them again. They will not ignore their good players.

Back from my cruise and still never heard from Michael or anyone from Players Club via verbal or email BUT once onboard, my husband was told by the Staff at the Cashiers Window that we had FUN MONEY waiting for us to collect...

FUN MONEY is a bigger yellow $5 coin that is used exactly like real chips.. Doesn't make much sense but it is something new that they told us is now being used shipwide... You could use it on any game just like a real $5 chip except you cannot use it on any bet that requires change...

So, if you want to place a $5 bet on any game that doesn't require "change" its the same thing as the real thing...

So, even if you don't get a response from the Players Club, or they tell you you don't qualify, ask at the Cashiers Window if your name is on the list !!!

I received fun chips a few years ago. And, yes, the only time I received them is when I went to the window to ask if I had any perks available. They do make sense in that they can only be used in the casino, whereas when I received casino cash in the form of 5 $100 bills, I could have taken it and never played anything.
