Drinks on Us Card and Casino Offer Cruises

Last year I booked two casino rate cruises, one on the Sunshine in Feb. and one on the Breeze in May. On the Sunshine I received some cookies from the Casino and earned a card by getting 1500 points. The last night of the cruise, the casino manager found me at a machine and gave me an envelope, he told me they knew I was already booked on the Breeze, but to call the casino number on the letter and they were going to have an offer for me that was going to make me very happy.

When I was finally able to get through, they told me it was $50 of casino cash. I had gotten that before so, ok. However, when I got on the ship, I had a card to take to the casino to get a Drinks on Us card from the casino, I did and got the card.

My question is, is it standard procedure to get a Drinks on Us card if you book the Casino Rate?

Thanks.

If you have accumulated 5000 points or more during 1 cruise you will receive the Drinks on Us card on your next cruise regardless of what rate you booked it under. As others also mentioned it's always a perk with the Premier cruises.

I've gotten the Drinks On Us card on the first night of my last two cruises. I play the slots, so I tend to get my points pretty quick. I've had chocolate covered strawberries sent to my room from the casino and those chocolate cups filled with mousse sent on another night. I also had a bottle of wine sent to my dinner table from the casino. Its nice to get a little something back for all that I give them

So how did you know you had a drink night on the first night. My last two cruises I earned enough points to get free drinks before the cruise was over. This time for the first time cruising in January on casino rate. Do I check in when I first get there to see if have anything additional coming? I assumed because we got such a killer rate ($400 for two for 8K balcony) that I would have to amass my points before free drinks. Also, is 6 day cruise point minimum different than the 1500 for 7 nights?

I had a card waiting for me in the room.

For me, I didn't get a card in the cabin (this was in 2012) but after 5 minutes of play (with putting my card in the machine), the casino host came up to me with the drinks on us card.

I'd be super happy with that scenario. I will be over the moon happy if I get a card on our upcoming Nov 28 cruise. Go Carnival.....not that I haven't paid for it 10 times over but still I would be ecstatic.
