But if you buy one on shore, I don't think you can come back on board with it. Something to do with insect control.

 

And the opposite as well too. As I was in line for Customs in May coming off the Glory, a lady Flight Attendant in uniform for American Airlines got escorted to the back room at POM carrying one of the pineapples off the ship. The CBP Agent who's line I was in said as she walked by, "You're bringing fruit off?! That can be a $10,000 fine."

 

Yikes! Call me crazy, but I would think that a FA would know better, but I could be wrong.
