Booking specific cabins on HAL website?

We have just started doing research for a 2016 cruise. We prefer the aft VB category- looking at the NA, but when getting to the cabin selection- you can choose veranda, and then the Aft section, but the actual Aft cabins do not come up. In reviewing other online sites, the cabins are available, but I feel like I am missing a step or a checkbox in order to see this category on the HAL website. Does anyone have any helpful hints?

Instead of choosing the Verandah category, try entering the specific cabin number you want. I randomly chose a cruise in Aug 2015, and while the stern cabins on deck 6 all appeared as white using the general Verandah category, I was able to enter some specific cabin numbers and have them accepted.

If you know the room numbers, then you can do a mock booking.

When you get to the 'Stateroom' page, scroll down to under the descriptions of the stateroom types and there is a box where you can input room numbers.....it says 'To request a specific stateroom'.

 

If you don't know the room numbers then refer to the deck plans first.

Doing a mock booking, on the stateroom page, scroll down. There is a place to enter the specific cabin number.

Thank you so much! Totally missed that 'enter cabin number here'. It's fine this far out, although it seems kind of painful closer to sail date when trying to find certain categories.
