cruisexlife Posted November 29, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2014 Sitting on lido right now waiting to get off. I did a 7 day Thanksgiving cruise to Nassau , St.Thomas, San Juan and Grand Turk. I'll take any questions about the ship, ports, transfer from FLL, embarkation, thanksgiving onboard, etc. Debarkation is pending, but I will be able to answer questions about that soon. Photo Review coming in the next couple days !!! :D

cruisexlife Posted November 29, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted November 29, 2014 We leave on her in a couple of months. What was your cabin? How we're the shows and comedy? Welcome home. I had a 4J on the 6th floor, 6201. Big enough for my needs, it wasn't dark like an inside room and it was easy on the wallet. The playlist productions were great. I saw Divas and Epic Rock on this cruise, and I saw Latin Nights and Motor City on my last cruise on her. All were fantastic and I recommend seeing them, especially Epic Rock and Latin Nights. Enjoy your cruise!

What did you think of the cruise director? ;) Weeeeeellllllllll Gooooooooood Mornnnnnnnnnnnnnnning! He was very fun and energetic! in November 2013 he was the assistant cruise director, and Matt Mitcham was the Real CD. When Matt moved to the Breeze, Dr.E got Glory ! Very nice CD! cruisexlife Posted November 30, 2014 Author #16 Share Posted November 30, 2014 You already answered about the CD. We're booked on the Glory for next year. Excited to sail with him. Did you like American Table? How about Grand Turk. What did you do? Ya know, I didn't hate American Table, but I really miss the old menu. I do miss the cold soups a lot. But I enjoy the semi-melted butter, the bread and water at your table, and the tablecloths and seashells on formal night. Gradn Turk is a prettier version of a northeastern beach... if you stay by the ship. Endless rows of chairs, vendors, but at Gradn Turk the water is stunning and there are palm trees everywhere. Margaritaville got obnoxious after about 30 minutes, and we would've walked further down the coast to a less-noisy beach, but the sun was under a thick, long cloud, and we ended up shopping until we got back on the ship. We did a 2.5 hour Stand Up Paddleboarding and Reef Snorkel excursion, which I really enjoyed. Nice reef and fun experience. You'll enjoy your day in GT, whether you like the excitement and noise of Margaritaville, or you want a quiet beach, or a fun excursion, you'll enjoy your last day in the Eastern Caribbean :D
cruisexlife Posted November 30, 2014 Author #17 Share Posted November 30, 2014 Who were the bartenders at the Alchemy Bar?? Didn't go once, sorry. Many around the ship said it was fantastic and that the waiters were amazing, but I never got around to it.
cruisexlife Posted November 30, 2014 Author #18 Share Posted November 30, 2014 What did you think about the American Table in the dining room? I saw posts of the menu and thought it seemed limited. Didn't love it, but I don't hate it. I do miss the soups and I did feel the fall in choices. But it's most likely to pay for the new tables and decorations inside ... tequilasunrise Posted November 30, 2014 #22 Share Posted November 30, 2014 (edited) How's the entertainment other than the big shows? Especially love deck parties, and am thinking about trying Carnival. Is it fun? And thanks for the upcoming review, would love to see pics of the ship and such! firemanbobswife Posted November 30, 2014 #25 Share Posted November 30, 2014 Well i didn't go to the MDR every night. Sorry. Oh, that would explain why you missed the cold soups then. I was glad to see they brought them back from when I was on Glory in May.
