Octoberk Posted December 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 4, 2014 We will be cruising early next year. One of the port the cruise ship will dock is Port klang which is over an hour drive from Kuala Lumpur. As we only have 5-6 hours which we can spend either at Kuala Lumpur (excluding the travel time to and fro KL and Port Klang), there is a debate whether we should go to Shah Alam (closer to the port) or we should go to KL. My question is "Is worth the 2 hours drive to visit KL for 5 hours?" or to go to Shah Alam (an interesting place of visit as well? Any advice or thought? Rare Keith1010 Posted December 4, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 4, 2014 I would post this on the Asia Ports Of Call Board. Keith
taglovestocruise Posted December 4, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 4, 2014 Spent a month in KL a few years ago. I remember the traffic being as heavy as Los Angeles, if you get caught in a heavy downpour the freeway motor cycle traffic stops until the storm passes. You could easily spend 3-4 hours round trip in traffic and 1-2 hours in KL. Shah Alam seems a lot less stressful. All of Malaysia makes for great sightseeing. happy cruising..
