sardam Posted December 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 4, 2014 Carnival suggests no flights before 11:30. It will save $600+ to book this flight. I figure it is only 5 minutes, but is 11:30 really pushing it normally? We have a personal shuttle, so we won't have to wait for the van to fill or anything. This is our first time out of New Orleans.
jgmpuma Posted December 4, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 4, 2014 It is about a thirty minute ride from the terminal to the airport, at least on weekends. Even during the work week, the traffic in that direction will be modest. I can't remember the port of New Orleans ever being closed due to fog, unlike Galveston and Tampa. The river pilots sail right through it.

rasta Posted December 21, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 21, 2014 What would you think about a 10:28 am flight?
rasta Posted December 21, 2014 #6 Share Posted December 21, 2014 And would buying FTTF really result in an earlier debarkation?
debshomespun Posted December 23, 2014 #7 Share Posted December 23, 2014 We got off the NCL Dawn 11/21/14, being one of the first off the ship just before 8:00AM and had no trouble making an 11:00 flight. Was at the airport by 8:30.
