beer question

You've asked this ? out on various ports boards and have gotten answers.

On Carnival, if you bring any alcohol, beer, wine, liquor, that you purchase at a port -whether at cruise center (duty free) or outside of port store-back on board with you through security, you will be asked to take it to the alcohol table and they will store it for you until the last night of your cruise.

There are some cruisers who do try to skirt the table, especially if the security lines are busy and there's a crowd around the table, but most are honest enough to head to the table. Most duty free stores at the port will send the liquor you purchase directly to the ship. Whether these port duty free shops sell beer is a question cruisers who have bought beer there can answer.

I was in a port a few years ago and they let us buy beer and bring it back on the boat and they didnt take it until the end of the cruise. Does anyone know what ports u can do this? It wasnt american beer.

If they let you bring the beer on at a port stop, why would they take it at the end of the cruise?
