curiousjly Posted August 24, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2005 Could anyone who has been on the Enchantment tell me what the swimming pool is like? It is hard to tell from the pictures, but it seems to have a shallow section, then go deeper. Is it a gradual drop, or does it just drop from a feet or two to 6 or more feet, or what? Thanks, Jly
Merion_Mom Posted August 24, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 24, 2005 There is a shelf all around the inside perimeter of the pool, which has just a few to several inches of water, then the main (center) part of the pool has a sloping floor, about 3 to 5 feet deep. erntrish Posted August 24, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 24, 2005 Some more thoughts on EN's pools: - Solarium and forward pools are filled with saltwater, and the underwater areas are painted a greenish color that makes the water look polluted...till you see it over the white/tiled part and see it's crystal clear. Disconcerting at first...but no big deal, and an interesting design. The midship pool is heated and filled with fresh water. (We didn't use this trip) - The Solarium pool was ICE COLD (well, I guess more like quite brisk). Too bad we didn't discover this until after the first day at sea...we could have used it as relief from the temps around 100deg on Sunday!
curiousjly Posted August 24, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted August 24, 2005 I had seen the pictures and it has looked as if it sloped, but pictures can be deceiving, due to sunlight and such. Not sure how much I will swim, like to but feel self-conscious about weight. So, will probably sit in shade and enjoy watching others, but who knows, I just might decide to take a dip. Especially when others go ashore. I am really looking forward to this trip, my daughter is so excited. Jly
