gohuskies Posted August 24, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2005 I need your advise. Our RCCL Mariner of the Seas will be in Grand Cayman on Sept 15 from 8:00 am-4:00 pm (ship time). I believe there are 3 other ships in port. We want do to Capt Marvins stingray and island tour. (Nativeways Stingray and Island Tour is sold out). Ruth said we have enough time to do the 8:30-10:30 stingray trip and then hell/turtle farm tour. She said we would be back around 12:45 pm local time. (1:45 pm ship time), with the last tender at 2:30 pm (3:30 pm ship time). What do you think?
MOMOFTWOSONS Posted August 24, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 24, 2005 We did the same combo last week - we were finished by about 12:45 and we had time to shop afterward. Doing the early stingray/coral gardens is best because it's not very crowded & it's not very hot yet. You'll have a blast. We actually had Capt. Marvin himself (88 yrs old) on the boat - what a lovely man. Have fun - wish we were doing it again!!
Caltexan Posted August 25, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2005 I tried to book this tour for Thursday Oct. 6th and got this reply. "Pleasant Greetings from Grand Cayman...and thanks for contacting us! Sorry, we will not be conducting the Stingray & Island Tour on October 6. Try Captain Marvins. Sharon Ebanks" I was very disappointed. I did send in a reservation to Captain Marvins, hopefully the date is not booked. I don't want to go on the ships tour. mresley Posted September 1, 2005 #4 Share Posted September 1, 2005 We tried to book with Nativeway and after waiting 2 days for a reply they aren't offering this trip so we did as you and booked with Captain Marvin. They were fast to respond to all my questions and concerns. Seems like they care about you.
