I just heard that MSC:s Monterey cruise 18 sep is cancelled. Does anybody knows why? Nothing at their homepage. /Jepp

 

Yikes!!! Can anyone confirm whether this is true?

 

We are booked on the MSC Monterey cruise just before that one (7-18 September), and will be returning to Genoa the morning of the 18th. Assuming that our cruise is still on, I will try to drop in to an Internet cafe in one of the ports and post a brief progress report.

 

In one of the posts below, I expressed some concern about The Monterey. Two days ago, we did receive our tickets for the cruise (though not a list of the shore excursions, or much else beyond a print-out of the itinerary).

 

The tickets included the name and telephone number of an MSC contact-person in Genoa: Ms. Carla Gotta, Tel. +39 010 647 2294

 

Perhaps it would be worth calling Italy for more up-to-the-minute information?:confused:
