andante Posted December 14, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2014 Hi, Can anyone advise please: we will be disembarking quest in singapore. Our flight is not until the late evening. Does Azamara provide any trips on that day? Could you rely on booking a transfer (pick up) for a given time....would azamara get you off at the given time? What is the latest you would have to be off the boat by? What are the airport hotels like...would you get one downtown or are there things to do around changi village. Many thanks. Gareth C Posted December 14, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 14, 2014 Hi, I have disembarked from Azamara twice in Singapore. You usually need to be off the Vessel by 9am at the latest, but that does depend on when you arrive and dock and the ship is cleared by customs. There are a few hotels close to the port. The one I remember is the bay hotel with easy access to santosa island and a short walk from downtown or easy access by taxi or metro. If you did want to stay nearer the airport there are not many hotels around it and it is about 45mins from central Singapore. If you booked a transfer for a time it is quite easy as you just walk straight off the ship along the corridor down in the lift to level one then all the transfers just wait for you there, do be careful as it can be busy early morning as it is also the ferry port. If the driver has your name on a card that is easier as after you collect your bags you can look for them. Hope all that info helps, enjoy your cruise. Westaussie Posted December 14, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 14, 2014 (edited) Crowne Plaza Hotel is in the airport, have stayed here many times. In March we disembarked Journey around 9.00 a.m. and got a taxi to the hotel, we had a booking but friends decided to come with us and got a day rate (however I suggest you book). Because we have been to Singapore many times we decided to spend a quiet day using their swimming pool etc. If you wish to go into Singapore use the airport train. Depending which terminal your flight leaves from just check out and walk to departure check-in if same terminal as hotel or get the sky train that runs between the terminals http://www.ihg.com/crowneplaza/hotels/us/en/singapore/sincp/hoteldetail Edited December 14, 2014 by Westaussie

We have booked a day use room in advance as our flight leaves at 7.35pm. But we will have already spent time in Singapore so we just want the opportunity to relax prior to our flight. If you join the IHG membership club which is on Crowne's website and is free.........members get free wifi according to the same website.:)
Tony UK Posted December 15, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 15, 2014 We also booked a day room at the grand Plaza just recently. We enjoyed our stay. Nice pool, steps from the airport but our room was quiet. You can use the MRT to go into Singapore, or use the airport terminal shops etc.
Arizonasunshine Posted December 18, 2014 #6 Share Posted December 18, 2014 Taxies are cheap in Singapore. I would take one to visit the Botanical Gardens in the morning, find a nice restaurant for a late lunch, stop by Rafael's for a ridiculously expensive Singapore Sling, depending on your time have dinner near the water and/or cab it back to the airport.
