Tampa International Airport Post Cruise

Never have been to Tampa before. How far is the airport from the cruiseport? Also how doable would a 12:45 pm flight be? "Scheduled" arrival to cruiseport is 6 am. Thanks in advance. Would an earlier flight be doable?

Airport is about a 15+ minute cab ride ($25+tip flat rate fare) from the port.

 

Slightly earlier is possible, but a delay in arrival due to fog (especially in winter months) is also possible. :eek: Unless it can save you lots of $$ or time I would stick with 1245 and relax on the ship as much as possible that morning - time for one last breakfast in the MDR. :cool:

The ""Scheduled" arrival to cruiseport is 6 am" - that does not mean very much.

We just got back home from there from a cruise on the Vision.

 

On our boarding day a week ago (saturday) when we got to the cruise terminalat about 10:45am, many people were just getting off the ship, the ship was late (fog) and the ship gets there when they let them get there ...... the scheduled time did not mean anything.

thanks for the replies. I know about possible late arrivals, that's why I put the 'scheduled' in quotes.
