6666oz Posted December 20, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 20, 2014 Been watching the shops for weeks and Now that I have bought several pairs in my size, if you live in Melbourne and if you are looking to buy reef shoes for your next cruise RUN into Big W and get them quick at $5.00 they will go fast , these are the good ones with the adjustable string around the top, they are unisex so dont be afraid to look in mens or womens section, Kmart have them to, but not such a big range. Aussie FF Posted December 20, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 20, 2014 I went there, just to get them. They have not been delivered to the store, so they don't have any.
6666oz Posted December 20, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted December 20, 2014 (edited) Try the Ringwood store, they had lots today, on the back wall in shoe section. Maybe not all Big W stores across Melbourne have them, but if you dont see them ASK, as sometimes they put them in dumb places like the sports section. Aussie FF Posted December 20, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 20, 2014 That's a bit far for me, other end of the freeway. I'll also try phoning some other stores, but they told me that other stores will have the same problem. I'll try K-Mart tomorrow.

jveevers Posted December 22, 2014 #7 Share Posted December 22, 2014 Ok, so whats a Reef Shoe, are they like Deck Shoes?
Jacs Posted December 22, 2014 #8 Share Posted December 22, 2014 They're like wetsuit booties, so they protect your feet while walking on coral beaches, but are sturdy enough and have soles so you can walk around in them too. They were selling them on Radiance for $20 each, they were selling like hot cakes!
6666oz Posted December 22, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted December 22, 2014 Yep they are water proof shoes stops your feet from getting cut on coral, better than crocs because they keep the grit out, and very comfortable for walking around in, so you can splash in the water and frolic on the beach. http://galleryplus.ebayimg.com/ws/web/181264835340_1_0_1/1000x1000.jpg
avalon007 Posted December 25, 2014 #10 Share Posted December 25, 2014 Our nearest Big W in Bega was sold out & no other stores or any K-Marts within a few hours drive from here. Oh well, next time. Just a note on reef shoes for anyone who may be mislead by the name - the 'reef' part doesn't mean use them to walk on the reef! I have seen quite a lot of people using them to trash the reefs over the years! That's the only down side to them - otherwise a fantastic shoe & a must have for cruising the South Pacific.:)
6666oz Posted December 27, 2014 Author #11 Share Posted December 27, 2014 Ringwood Kmart has lots in mens shoe section, in mens sizes 8-13, but they are unisex if they fit.
