Baja deck

Do the Baja Deck balcony cabins on the Diamond Princess have full overhead coverage.
Yes, but that doesn't mean they're private or shaded. Anyone below on Caribe and Dolphin decks can see into the balcony if they look up. You'll have some shade during the day, depending on the time of day and ship direction.

That's very true, but I've found people's natural tendency when they're on their balcony is to look out at the sea and land or to look downwards. We usually choose a balcony on Baja and you hardly ever see anyone on Caribe or Dolphin twisting their head round to look at the balconies above. They sometimes look up at the bridge, but that's about it, unless there's some noise that attracts their attention.

You are correct. But the possibility is there and sometimes, people expect a covered balcony to be completely private. Not to mention the spotters on the bridge with binoculars constantly checking the balconies. :)

Thankyou for your replies. Does the above deck Aloha finish above your balcony rail on Baja deck like most ships or does it still tier back. Privacy is not the concern here but just how much coverage there is on the balcony from the deck above.

Thankyou

They're even, not set back.

And, of course, the "Baja Deck" is one of my great pet peeves about cruising...

Perhaps one of the great misnomers...

"Baja" in Spanish translates to "LOWER"...

The Baja Deck is one of the UPPER decks, relatively, on Princess cruise ships...

Must be danged confusing to Spanish-speaking passengers...
