Using pre-paid visa cards to pay down on-board balance

We leave on Monday and I was lucky enough to receive a number of pre-paid visa cards from students as holiday gifts. I was wondering if I would be able to take these to the desk and use them to pay down our account across the course of the cruise. Anyone have experience with this?

We did this in 2013 without any issue. Gets applied to your account as a credit.
