slang1272 Posted December 29, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2014 I'm thinking about this excursion for our cruise next month on Carnival Paradise. How far from the port is the resort that the tour departs from? We are only in port until 4pm. I assume that means we'll need to be on a tender by 3:30pm. If we take a tour at noon, it should end around 2, which gives us 1 1/2 hours to piddle around and get back to the ship. It sounds like plenty of time, but I want to make sure we'll be able to get back in time. Our alternative is to book a 10am tour. Our ship isn't scheduled to arrive until 9am, though. We'll have priority tendering, but that's still cutting it close, especially if there are any delays getting into port. Any information is appreciated. cb at sea Posted December 29, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 29, 2014 You will have plenty of time for either tour....the ship generally is "in port" before the posted time. Is this a ship's excursion? If so, you have NO time worries at all... If this is a private excursion, your guide will wait a reasonable amount of time...they do understand how tendering works! Shopping is within easy walking distance of the tender dock....if they bring you back at 2pm, you will be fine!
