From the Royal Princess ... help!

Needs some guidance from some experienced Cruise Critic folks!

 

Sadly even after showing up several hours in advance we didn't get the full cruise package at the Sanctuary. Not a big deal, except now we've missed out 2 days in a row for daily seats Note that they're only doing reservations by phone. I dialed this morning literally as the clock flipped to 8:00 am but the phone rang until 8:15 when I was told they had been sold out after the first 10 calls.

 

Has anyone experienced this before and does it help if you dial "early" like 7:45 am and let the phone ring (or does the queue only open when the phones are turned on)?

Your best bet is to go up to the Sanctuary in the morning, prior to 8am, and reserve that way. They probably did not answer the phone because they were reserving seats for people in line at the sanctuary.

If they are only doing it by phone, I would go for about 7:58. The other option is to -t$lk- to a steward the night before and see if an arrangement can be reached (and before the furor starts I do not claim that is a fair approach, just sometimes effective)

We did it in person once and decided never again since we had to get there before 7 to be at the front of the line.

Next cruise we got aboard early and literally RAN and managed to book for the 10 days.

 

One sprint for 10 days was worth it.

Getting up at dawn for one day....not so much!
