Gymmonster Posted January 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2015 We are in Tortola for one day in March and we are thinking of going to the beach and nearby distillery at Cane Garden Bay. Any tips for getting there, best part of the beach etc? Thank you in advance.
Lard Greystoke Posted January 2, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 2, 2015 We are in Tortola for one day in March and we are thinking of going to the beach and nearby distillery at Cane Garden Bay. Any tips for getting there, best part of the beach etc? Thank you in advance. Easy cab ride. More built up (overly so I'd say) on east (right) side, less so to west (left). Pretty bay. blue_water Posted January 2, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 2, 2015 Several safari taxis carrying 20 - 30 ppl will empty out at Myett's in the center of the beach, just hop a taxi going there for $8pp each way, they'll return for you. Walk to the left end as noted and it will be a bit quieter. For a less crowded beach consider Brewers Bay, same taxi fare...

OCruisers Posted January 3, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 3, 2015 (edited) Do at least consider Brewers Bay! ;) LuLu Edited January 3, 2015 by OCruisers
blue_water Posted January 3, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 3, 2015 There is 1 beach bar (Nicole's) at Brewers, and there are 6 at CGB. So a much less bust beach and beautiful as well. The only beach that's nicer is Smuggler's Cove but there are no amenities there other than portapotties. So you'd have to grab drinks and snacks on the way. So for the liveliest beach try CGB, for a less busy experience Brewers is nice. Also good snorkeling at BB. :)
