Seattle Waterfront Marriott

We stayed there last year and loved the hotel and the area. Don't know when the hotel opened but when we were there it looked very new. Staff is friendly and helpful and rooms are nicely appointed. We stayed on the concierge level which was quite nice... continental breakfast and evening canapes. There are several restaurants nearby. We ate at a fish place right across the street, on their patio area... very good. We walked to Pikes Place and the Seattle Museum... not exactly a short walk but a very nice walk Enjoy!

The Mariott is one of the nicer ones in Seattle, the view is wonderfula dn it is nice and close to the Pier. The fish restaurant that Sandy is speaking of is Anthony's and is very good but up at Pike pLace there is a restaurant called "Etta's" which is a wonderful restaurant; sort of pricey $$$ but well worth it.

You will enjoy Seattle and it is very safe; so walking anywhere is fine.

We stayed here in June for one night pre-cruise. Absolutely wonderful!!! And if you are leaving from Pier 66, the bell cap will "roll" your luggage to the pier for you. It was so awesome to see the NCL ships docked so close!! You made an excellent choice!!

Hint.....if walking the HILL starts to get to you....walk along the waterfront (level ground) until you come to the first parking garage. Take their elevator to the top level...cross the street to the lower level of Pike Market and take their elevator to the top!!!! MUCH EASIER!!!

We stayed at the Marriott Waterfront last summer, post our Alaska cruise - a great location - trolley was close, a short walk to Pike, waterfront shops and restaurants right across the street and within a short walking distance.

We had breakfast in the restaurant and cocktails in the lobby bar! Both were enjoyable.

Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed there post cruise and they allowed us to check in at 9 am! The staff was very friendly and the hotel appears new. I used priceline.com and got the room for $75.

What area is this hotel listed on priceline. And what star rating. Thanks

It is is the downtown zone, so are all the major hotels. Biddingfortravel.com list it as 3 stars. It would be difficult to target. There are about 10 other hotels downtown with the 3 stars.

Just booked this hotel (used Marriott Points) for 1 night Pre HAL Zaandam June 30, 2006 cruise. :p

Does anyone know where HAL docks? and if this hotel is close enough to Pier for concierge to "move us"??

(They do advertise a Pre-cruise package on their site - includes b'kfst and transfer to ship @ $249 - cost me 60,000 Marriott points for 2 rooms)

Thanks!

We sailed out of Seattle last year out of Pier 30. (Pier 66 is across the street from the hotel). It's near Safeco Field. I ordered a limo at the Marriott & since it was "slow" the driver quote $15. instead of the usual $20. After tip, it's still $20. lol.

We left the Marriott about 11:00 & there was almost no line at all for boarding.

For breakfast we walked over to Pike Market, grabbed pastries & coffee.

If you're a foodie; Todd English's "Fish Club" is in the Marriott. (Frankly, I wasn't impressed).

Here's a link for the port schedule, tho 2006 is not yet posted.
