Looking for a tour company or guide in both Loreto and La Paz. Have never been to either and would like a good look around in both. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Why not try the shore excursions desk aboard the ship; I hear they are always reliable, contractors are safety screened and have adequate insurance, and the return to the vessel is guaranteed!!!

Try Fun Baja in La Paz. We have used them for scuba diving but they have other tours. They really outstanding!!!

Yes and no. I've been on a total of four Princess excursions. One was great, one delayed, one disappointing, and the fourth such a fiasco that Princess eventually issued a full refund to me and other pax on the tour. When I was in the Falklands, I booked a private penguin-viewing tour which was one of the highlights of my cruising history, while half the identical excursions run by Princess were canceled due to lack of available drivers. So ShorEx isn't always so "reliable."

 

As I'm a CCL shareholder, I'm happy when Princess rakes in cash. But I'm booked for a whale shark swim in La Paz with a private operator who's gotten great Trip Advisor reviews. Price: $65. Princess' price for the same trip: $149. So….

I will be in La Paz in February with Princess and I'm interested in the whale shark excursion also. Can you share which private operator you're using? Thanks!
