Pearl - Aft facing mini-suite

Minisuite bathrooms on this class of ship (Jewel class) are larger than a balcony cabin's bathroom. There is a bathtub in minisuites, which makes the "compartments" in the bathroom deeper. Your knees won't hit the wall ahead of you while sitting on the toilet in this cabin.

It is a bit more spacious than a regular balcony cabin and has a couch. Not sure about the balcony aft, but mini balconies on the sides of the ship are a bit deeper than the balcony cabin balconies too.

Have fun!!

My DW and I always book aft suites. We like the calm air, and warmer balconies. Like a pleasure craft, the back of the ship rides the smoothest. We have been in the fore-owner's suite and I gotta tell you, that's a rolling ride! You will love the aft mini-suite for many reasons, as fore mentioned the larger head. Unlike the balcony cabins you do not have to step outside to change your mind. You will find more room to move around, therefore fewer bumps in the night trying not to wake your spouse as you muffle your mouth after stubbing a toe on something! The balconies are a bit larger often sporting chaise lounges, a nice feature for watching the ocean go by.

The cons - Oh yes, there is always a negative in paradise! At night either bring in the cushions from the balcony, or fold them over. Soot will tend to settle leaving the cushions a mess if not careful. Occasionally, when the Topsider Grill is swabbed debris can land on your otherwise pristine balcony. Call the steward, he will clean it immediately. One last item, when opening your cabin door be prepared for a sweeping wind blowing through the cabin if the balcony door is open! Your Daily, and other loose papers may become one with the sea! On the other hand, this is a great way to quickly remove odors that may be offensive to others in the cabin.

Overall, you are going to love it!
