Car rental pickup location at MCO?

Hi everyone,

 

We are looking to rent a car from MCO to Port Canaveral hotel the night before our cruise. We are looking at using Budget.

 

1. How difficult is it to find the car rental pickup location once you picked up your bags. Online it says that its 10.5KM from the airport that seems pretty far to try and get to?

 

2. Would you recommend dropping off the car at the rental company the day we arrive at the hotel and take a shuttle to the port or would it be best to return the car the next morning and I believe the car rental company will shuttle you to the port?

 

3. On the return trip, how difficult is it to return the rental vehicle to the drop off location and get to the terminal?

At MCO car Rental counters are in terminal on ground floor near baggage claim. Pick lots are within easy walking distance of the counters. Enterprise and Thrifty have short shuttle rides to pick up lots.

 

Drop the car off on the morning of your cruise and let them shuttle you to the port. Likewise, on return pick up their shuttle at the cruise terminal.

 

Drop off at MCO in the same lot you picked up the car originally. Just follow the signs.

You must have the wrong information.

 

As the pervious poster mentioned, the rental counter is on the ground floor (directly under the baggage pickup floor). And the pickup location is across the street in the parking garage--maybe 5 minute walk.

I will confirm. At airport go to lower level where car rental counter are and exit there. Cross over to parking garage and go up one floor. Very short walk. The budget rental at port canaveral: just drop off car in morning and they will shuttle you over. Done it a few times. Budget really good at port.
