IDKaren Posted January 15, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2015 Have not cruised on RCL before...on some other lines we have been..you can only check out ONE towel at a time at pool. Is this also true on RCL? Would like to have one to lay on and one to dry with on the beach and really don't want to pack mine! Thanks so much! skyking Posted January 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2015 Recently on the freedom and we could take more than one, no sea passes scanned at towel checkout anymore.
5 in OK Posted January 15, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 15, 2015 Just off the Serenade - many times no one was even at the towel stand. Open cart of towels for everyone to take as many as needed.
Ourusualbeach Posted January 15, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 15, 2015 (edited) On sea days your Seapass card is not scanned however on port days I believe that all ships are now scanning the towels out to your Seapass cards in order to take the towels off the ship. My DW has gone and checked put 4 towels at one time even though there were just the 2 of us in the cabin. Wheeling_family_of_3 Posted January 15, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 15, 2015 Just off Oasis and you could take as many blue pool towels as you wanted at the pool decks without having to check them out against your seapass. On port days, they had towel stands just at the edge of the gangway (once you got off) where you could check out as many as you wanted, but they were assessed against your seapass and you were charged $25 per if you didn't return them upon returning to the ship. Brunelphil Posted January 15, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 15, 2015 Every cruise we have been on we have checked out two towels per person, whether this be help yourself or when you have to scan your seapass. We swap the towels at the end of the day for two new fresh towels each to use the next day.
LovesCruising Posted January 15, 2015 #8 Share Posted January 15, 2015 Recently on the freedom and we could take more than one, no sea passes scanned at towel checkout anymore. Same on Explorer 2 weeks ago - we were able to get 2 each. They did scan your card if you took towels off the ship for an excursion or to the beach - rescanned when you returned them
