Carnival Glory Pre cruise Hotel

Hello everyone, I am booked on the Carnival Glory April 25th 2015 and was looking to stay pre cruise in downtown Miami. rate are about $250 plus for hotels I have stayed at for a lot less in mid summers. I was thinking about using hotwire becaue they show some much better rates for 4 stars.Can anyone give me some insight,have you ever used hotwire and how was the out come.Thanks for any and all of your input.
