Hawkeye hfx Posted January 17, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted January 17, 2015 On the Eclipse, if you are staying in a Celebrity suite or higher, you have access to a private lounge which was Michael's Club in this case. You could enjoy continental breakfast, cappuccinos, premium beverages all day. You also have a concierge for suite guests as well. john_galt Posted January 17, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2015 Got any photo's? We loved Michaels on the Constellation. Best embarkation/debarkation lounge ever! Concierge was wonderful. We really felt pampered and immediately booked the PH again. I would love to hear details from an Eclipse class ship.
handy4u Posted January 17, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 17, 2015 I didn't think this was happening until April? Premium alcoholic or NA? You notice any Pellegrino water in there? Thanks!!!
Hawkeye hfx Posted January 17, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted January 17, 2015 Grey goose and other premium brands. I dont recall seeing any San Pelligreno but I'm sure they would get you anything you wanted. The bartenders and concierge, Fabian were awesome. Evening canapés were also available on request. Im hoping the Equinox has the same set up. We've been on the Eclipse the last 3 years and love the ship and crew. KW Cruisers Posted January 17, 2015 #9 Share Posted January 17, 2015 I thought this wasn't happening until April...what about Reflection, is Michael's Club converted to be a free suite only club? Michael's Club is a private lounge now for suite guests on all ships (CS and above). It has been put into effect ahead of the commencement of the April/15 debut. kitegirl Posted January 17, 2015 #10 Share Posted January 17, 2015 I have never been in a suite before but just wondering how do they know if you walk in Michaels if you are in a inside cabin, balcony or sky suite or penthouse? Do you get a special pin to wear or ?
Hawkeye hfx Posted January 17, 2015 Author #11 Share Posted January 17, 2015 No pin, the concierge has a list of those sailing in the suites. The security photo they take as you board the ship is also in the system to help identify you. wallie5446 Posted January 17, 2015 #13 Share Posted January 17, 2015 I thought this wasn't happening until April...what about Reflection, is Michael's Club converted to be a free suite only club? Michaels was converted on all the ships last year. It is the new suite DINNING AREA in the MDR that will be rolled out in April.

rcixfan5 Posted January 17, 2015 #15 Share Posted January 17, 2015 We were on eclipse in April 2014, the first cruise they had the Michaels club setup for suite guests and with the concierge. They know who is a suite guest because at checkin at the pier, you get a rose (at least in FLL), and upon stepping on the ship the concierge had a list in his hand of everyone that has access to Michaels club. He asked our names, we told him, and from that point on for the rest of the cruise we were greeted by name upon entry to michaels club. The first day they escorted us to Michaels and explained what things they could do for us. There are like 12 CS, 8 RS, and 2 PH, plus zenith, so that's like 50-60 people that they would need to keep track of. We had Fabian also he was excellent. Project_gal Posted January 17, 2015 #16 Share Posted January 17, 2015 Different color Sea Pass card too. But all suites have that and Sky Suites do not get access to Michael's Club. The other poster explained how it works. They recognise you from your security photograph before you turn up at embarkation. No showing of pass or explaining who you are necessary. Hawkeye hfx Posted January 17, 2015 Author #17 Share Posted January 17, 2015 When we boarded we were escorted to Micharls Club (rose in hand and blue folder) where we met Fabian. Later in the cruise he showed me our photos on his computer. It helps him to recognize you those first few days...so he can greet you bu name. Nice touch. The club was under utilized on our sailing (Dec 7-21) but there was a consistent group of about 10 of us who showed up for pre and post dinner drinks. We met some wonderful folks there. Chazteach1 Posted January 17, 2015 #21 Share Posted January 17, 2015 Michaels club on equinox is fantastic. Alex the bartender makes a great midnight martini and we got Pellegrino without a problem. Millie is very helpful and accommodating. It is a sweet / suite park we certainly enjoy. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Hawkeye hfx Posted January 18, 2015 Author #23 Share Posted January 18, 2015 I believe a previous poster indicated it just started last year. Probably in the spring since we were on the Eclipse in Dec 2013 and it was not a private suite lounge at that time. wallie5446 Posted January 18, 2015 #24 Share Posted January 18, 2015 Has Michael's club always had complimentary beverages for suite passengers, RS and PH, or is this new? It is new, and also includes the 57 or 58 world wide Zenith level members of the Capt Club.
OuiOnboard Posted January 18, 2015 #25 Share Posted January 18, 2015 Ahhhhhh, the suite life. Good on you! For us, maybe some day, when we no longer have to choose between higher end and longer end. Until then, 1A's and AQ's will have to suffice.
