mugtech Posted January 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2015 I ask this question because on the NCL website the weeks in September and the following weeks in October have prices in all categories that are about 20% higher on the 7 day Getaway Western Caribbean out of Miami. $749 vs $589 on inside, same promotions available etc. Is it a special school week like they have in October in NJ? Can't see it being anymore hurricane threatened than the other weeks. Any info would be appreciated.:)
david_sobe Posted January 18, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2015 Columbus day is a big cruising week because many get that day off or week off. Prices are simply supply and demand.

Sorry I did not explain the situation properly. The low prices are the cruise 10/2 to 10/9, all the other cruises in September and October are the same price, including 10/9 to 10/16, about 20% higher than the 10/2 cruise. Why? In October of 2015 the cruises out of Miami have the same prices listed every week, no one week lower like in 2016.
lambchoplady Posted January 18, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2015 (edited) My first thought would be that the ship has a large group booked, and they are trying to get rid of the unused rooms at a discount rate since you may be inconvenienced by the large group.
